A Nelson constable charged over a U-turn which caused a collision says he will plead guilty to careless driving.
The officer, whose name is suppressed, appeared in the Nelson District Court on Friday.
He was turning to chase a speeding car on State Highway 6 just outside Nelson on 1 June, when he collided with another vehicle. No one was injured.
The case was adjourned until 7 August.
