Top Energy customers in the Awarua and Okaihau areas in Northland are still without power on Sunday morning.
Line crews are trying to restore power to homes after strong winds brought trees down onto lines on Friday night.
Northpower, which supplies the Whangarei and Kaipara districts, says all its affected customers are now reconnected.
Houses in the Whangarei Heads area bore the brunt of the gales.
It was the second consecutive weekend that electricity was cut to houses in Northland due to bad weather.
