Fire fighters were threatened with steel bars when they responded to a pellet fire in Christchurch on Saturday night.
The Fire Service spokesperson says four fire fighters attended the blaze on Whiteleigh Avenue in Addington at 10.12pm.
A group of people at the fire harassed and threatened them with steel bars.
Police made several arrests.
