Police have arrested a man after a motorbike heist that lead to a stand-off with the armed offenders squad in Waikato.
A property in northern Huntly was cordoned off for about three hours on Tuesday after a robbery at a bike shop in Kihikihi.
Police say a group of men stole four motorcycles, one worth about $60,000.
They believe guns were used during the hold-up, and say the robbers got away in a four-wheel-drive vehicle towing a trailer, with one riding off on a stolen bike.
Police say a man is facing robbery charges. Officers are continuing their investigation.
