Police have charged the driver of a bus which struck and critically injured a teenager in Auckland.
Sheetal Chand was crossing Barrack Road in Mt Wellington when she was hit nearly two weeks ago.
The 16-year-old student from Auckland Girls Grammar student remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Police say the driver of the NZ Bus stopped briefly after the incident, providing his details to a witness before carrying on with his route.
The 46-year-old driver from Weymouth has been charged with dangerous driving causing injury and is to appear in court later in August.
