A security van has been robbed while parked outside a Westpac bank at a South Auckland mall.
Police say an opportunist thief took off with a couple of cannisters of money from the van at Manurewa's South Mall just before 10am on Friday.
The amount of money inside the cannisters is not known.
Police say they have a clear image of the thief and his car from CCTV footage.
