A man has been charged with murder following a stabbing in Christchurch.
Andre James Delamare, 41, was found lying in Oliviers Road in the suburb of Phillipstown about 6.30pm on Tuesday.
Mr Delamare died in an ambulance on the way to hospital.
A 39-year-old man appeared in Christchurch District Court on Wednesday charged with murder, assault and an unrelated charge of cultivating cannabis.
The accused was granted interim name suppression and remanded in custody to reappear in court on Friday.
