A man is in Nelson Hospital after being rescued from the Kenepuru Sounds on Wednesday night.
He had fallen from his quad bike on the Queen Charlotte track.
Police say he had been missing since 2pm and was found with hip and leg injuries.
The man was airlifted out by a rescue helicopter. He's understood to be in his 80s.
He was on Thursday reported to be in a comfortable condition.
