A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged with threatening to kill following an Armed Offenders Squad call-out in Oamaru overnight on Thursday.
Police were called to an altercation in the main street of Hampden in North Oamaru at about 1.30 after the man allegedly produced a firearm and made threats.
The man, who lives in Hampden, has appeared in the Oamaru District Court charged with threatening to kill, producing a pistol and dangerous driving.
