Police in Greymouth are appealing for information about a man who was involved in a car accident near the Grey River.
The man told his girlfriend by phone that he was in the river, but an extensive search on Sunday failed to find him.
Police say Andrew David Lorimer, 21, of Taylorville, may have left the river and be avoiding them.
