A house fire in Rangiora, near Christchurch, injured three people on Sunday night, one of them critically.
The Fire Service received calls at 9.20pm from inside the house in Victoria Street, and told the occupants to leave.
The building was well alight when emergency services arrived five minutes later.
One person was taken to hospital with severe burns. The other two have minor injuries.
