Two people face a charge of kidnapping after a woman was taken from her Richmond home and beaten on Friday night.
Police in Nelson say her hair was cut off and she needed hospital treatment after being hit in the head and body.
Detective Senior Sergeant Wayne McCoy says the woman, 29, was subjected to an hour and a half of abuse before being returned to her home early on Saturday.
A man, 41, and a woman, 28, have been charged with kidnap and assault.
