The Fire Service says "a small tornado" has caused some damage in a rural area south of Auckland.
The event was reported just after 11am on Monday near the corner of Davies and Ararimu Road close to Ramarama.
The roof was ripped off one house and the windows of several others were damaged . Power was also cut in the area.
