Police have found the body of a 64-year-old Whakatane man whose boat was found empty on Lake Rotoma in Bay of Plenty.
The small aluminium dinghy was discovered turning in circles on the lake on Saturday, and a search for Graham Frederick Hatcher was launched at about 7pm.
The police dive squad, coastguard, a helicopter crew and local residents in their own boats all searched for the missing man.
His body was found on Sunday evening.
