A diver who died in Jackson Bay in South Westland has been named.
He was Ralf Holger Schumacher, 38, who was diving for crayfish on Friday when he disappeared.
Mr Schumacher's body was found on Saturday night by a police dive squad.
Police say Mr Schumacher was born in Germany but had been living in New Zealand for some years. His death has been referred to the coroner.
