Northland police have arrested a man wanted in relation to a violent attack on his partner, in the small settlement of Taheke, near Kaikohe.
The Armed Offenders Squad was called out on Friday afternoon, after the man's car was spotted outside a house but he had fled the scene.
A 45 year old man is due to appear in the Whangarei District Court on Saturday, facing charges including injuring with intent, assault with a weapon and breach of a Protection Order.
