A 70-year-old woman has been charged over the death of a cyclist on the Kapiti Coast.
School teacher Frank Van Kampen was riding in the cycle lane of State Highway 1 when he was hit from behind by a car in Te Horo in mid September.
Police say the car driver failed a breath test at the time.
The woman will appear in Levin District Court next Thursday charged with driving with excess alcohol causing death.
