An elderly man has died after a house fire in Blenheim.
The Fire Service says the blaze was well alight when crews arrived at the house in McArtney Street about 4am on Sunday.
They say the man was found dead and it appears he was overcome by smoke.
The blaze is now out, but police and fire safety officers remain at the scene.
