Queenstown police are calling for a witness to come forward who may know what happened to a Hungarian kayaker who has apparently vanished on Lake Wakatipu.
Gellert Mudra, 41, was last seen paddling a hired kayak in Queenstown Bay late on Friday.
Detective Grahme Bartlett says another kayaker was also in the area and must have seen Mr Mudra.
Police want to speak to the other kayaker, who is described as wearing a wetsuit and using a bright yellow river kayak.
Meanwhile, the search for Mr Mudra continues and Mr Bartlett says police are keeping an open mind.
