The police have arrested a 45-year-old man for a daylight attack on a South Auckland street, but are still looking for the elderly victim of the attack.
They say a man in his 70s or 80s was assaulted on Great South Rd in Manukau at about 10am on Wednesday. He fell to the ground, and was kicked by his attacker before a passer-by came to his aid.
The police are now worried about his well-being of the victim, who left the scene on a bus.
