Police hold grave fears for the safety of an elderly woman missing in Hamilton.
Audrey Gibson, 81, was last seen leaving her hairdresser in the suburb of Queenwood on Wednesday afternoon.
She was first reported missing on Sunday.
Police have been checking with neighbours at her flat in Comries Road and have searched the nearby Waikato River and its banks.
Audrey Gibson is described as being 160 centimetres tall, with grey hair. She was last seen wearing a white and brown jersey, white shirt and brown trousers, and was carrying a green canvas shopping bag and a black hand bag.
