Two people, including a police officer, are being treated in Balclutha Hospital after being affected by fumes from a spilled load of fertiliser.
A truck spilled the fertiliser near Balclutha at about 10am on Tuesday.
State Highway One north of Balclutha is now open again. Police advise motorists to drive slowly between Balclutha - Milton, where the spill happened.
