Another child has been hit by a car reversing out of a driveway.
The police in Auckland say a two-year-old girl ran into the path of a vehicle at a Mount Wellington property at about 1.15pm on Saturday.
She suffered head injuries and was taken to Starship Hospital in a critical but not life-threatening condition.
A one-year-old boy was seriously hurt in similar circumstances in the Northland township of Kaikohe on Thursday.
