Police in Auckland say traffic on Gillies Avenue in Newmarket is starting to clear, but it would be a good idea to avoid the street for the next few hours.
Contractors have been called in to direct traffic and assist with the traffic flow.
Although the crash site has been cleared, police say it usually takes up to three hours to fully clear the traffic back-log.
