A missing tramper has been located in the Rimutaka Forest Park after an overnight search for him.
The man, 45, was reported missing on Friday afternoon.
Police say he had little tramping experience and did not have a map, food or wet-weather gear.
He was located at 5am on Saturday, cold and hungry but in good health.
