Police have released the name of a woman who drowned in the Hutt Rive near Wellington on Monday.
Wendy Tuuina, 19, was dragged from the river near Moonshine Park, between Silverstream and Trentham, but could not be revived by a member of the public who was being instructed on CPR over the phone.
A police spokesperson says the death was not suspicious and no further investigations will be carried out.
