Two earthquakes in as many minutes rattled Fiordland on Saturday.
The first measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, and struck at 9.36am.
The second was a magnitude 4.1 quake at 9.38am.
Both were 12 kilometres underground, 80 kilometres west of Te Anau.
Early Saturday afternoon, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake was recorded on the West Coast, 5 kilometres underground.
It happened at 12.39pm, 60 kilometres south-west of Haast.
