The mother of a Nelson man who disappeared more than a week ago says he seemed depressed on the night he was last seen.
Leo Lipp-Neighbours, 19, was last seen at a flat in Nelson on 24 January.
Police say they do not suspect foul play at this stage. However, there are fears for his safety.
His mother, Charlotte Lipp, says the friends he was with that night have told her that her son was in low spirits.
Ms Lipp says her son is usually an active, happy man and it is out of character for him not to have been in contact.
He was driving a bright orange Toyota Corolla wagon on the night he went missing.
