One person has been found dead following a house fire in Papatoetoe, South Auckland.
When fire crews arrived at the Pamir Rd house, at about 3.30am on Sunday, they found a bedroom alight and heavy smoke throughout the house. One person was found dead.
The Fire Service says smoke alarms in the house were not working.
