A mother and her son who went missing in bush east of Wellington city have been found safe and well.
Searchers had been looking for the pair since 3pm on Sunday, after they wandered off from a music festival at Days Bay, in the Eastbourne area.
The woman and her 24 year-old son, who is autistic, managed to keep in touch with searchers by using text messages and were found at 3.30am on Monday.
