A truck and trailor rolled on State Highway 27 near Matamata in Waikato on Wednesday, spilling fertiliser over the highway near Number Two Road.
The road was closed while the spill was cleaned up.
Some of the fertiliser has been spread on the road by passing traffic, and the road is wet, so the police are urging motorists to take care when driving in the area.
The truck driver received minor injuries.
