Otago and Southland residents are being encouraged to try designing a logo for the new Southern District Health Board.
The merger of the Otago and Southland district health boards takes effect in May.
The board's chief executive, Brian Rousseau, hopes the Southern DHB logo competition will encourage local communities to feel a sense of pride in the new body.
He says the winning logo will be used in all of the board's branding, including signage, uniforms and stationery.
The winner will receive an Apple i-Phone.
