One person is dead, another critical and up to four more have serious and moderate injuries after a ute rolled near Paraparaumu, north of Wellington.
One person was flown by helicopter Wellington Hospital following the crash, which occured on Maungakotukutuku Road about 9am on Wednesday.
The other injured people were taken to hospital by ambulance.
Police closed the road and Serious Crash Unit investigators were due at the scene.
