A two-year-old boy died after being run over by a reversing vehicle in northern Hawke's Bay on Monday night.
The toddler was run over at about 6.30pm in the driveway of a house on Kopu Road in Wairoa, by a friend of the family who had been visiting.
Senior Sergeant Tony Bates says the police serious crash unit is investigating and it is too early to speculate on whether charges may be laid.
