Police in Wellington are no longer treating as suspicious the death of an elderly woman found by family members at her home.
Detective Inspector Paul Basham says widow Nicoline Linschoten, 82, was found at the bottom of stairs in a carport at her Johnsonville house on Saturday.
Mr Basham says police initially had some concerns as to the cause of death, but a post-mortem and scene investigation indicates no foul play.
