Police in Auckland have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a man who was attacked in the suburb of Mt Roskill.
Officers were called to the house in May Road by ambulance staff just before 4pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesperson, Noreen Hegarty, says the man was taken to Auckland Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
