Police in Gisborne are investigating the gunpoint robbery of a pharmacy.
It happened at just after 8pm on Tuesday in the suburb of Whataupoko.
Detective Senior Sergeant Craig Scott says a man with his face disguised, entered the shop armed with what is described as a handgun and stole a quantity of drugs.
Shop employees were shaken by the experience, but were not physically hurt.
