Wellington Regional Chamber of Commerce hopes work to transform a central city mall in Wellington into a two-way bus route will begin quickly.
A plan by Wellington City Council to reintroduce the Manners Street bus route was upheld by the Environment Court on Thursday.
The chamber says re-routing buses through the mall will shorten the central route and reduce travel time.
Chief executive Charles Finny hopes the route will be ready for the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
