Police are investigating the death of a man at what they are describing as a private care facility in Hamilton.
Officers were called to the care unit in the suburb of Dinsdale on Saturday night.
Police say a post mortem on the 38-year-old's body has concluded further investigation is needed to find the cause of death.
Investigators are trying to establish what happened leading up to the man's death, which has been reported to the Coroner.
The police say the man was a client of the care facility, but have so far not said what type of unit it was.
The Waikato District Health Board has confirmed the facility is not funded by the DHB. The Ministry of Health has not been able to say whether it has any links to the unit.
