An Auckland group has launched a last-ditch bid to influence the super-city process.
The group Our Auckland has started a campaign with a community newspaper, aimed at giving ratepayers a say on super-city arrangements yet to be confirmed by the Government.
A spokesperson for the group, Mels Barton, says residents are concerned about how much power unelected council-controlled organisations will have.
She says there are also concerns local boards will be stripped of the ability to make decisions.
Our Auckland plans to launch what it calls a referendum next week, prior to the final super city bill coming before Parliament next month.
