All the phones are back on in Mt Roskill

Telecom's network arm, Chorus, says phone and internet connections have been restored to the remaining people left without services in the Auckland suburb of Mt Roskill after a cable was damaged.

A Chorus spokesperson, Robin Kelly, says the telecommunications cable servicing the area was deliberately cut in two places on Sunday, depriving about 1000 customers of phone and internet services.

Chorus has been gradually restoring services to all customers since then, a job that was completed on Thursday afternoon, Mr Kelly says, when its field services team finished repairs to those affected in the Stoddard Rd area of Mt Roskill.

If customers are still experiencing disruptions, he says, they need to contact their service provider to report a fault.
