Canterbury University says it will not appeal against a decision denying it permission to build a $24 million music conservatory at the Arts Centre in Christchurch.
The plan received wide criticism and Christchurch City Council received more than 600 submissions against it.
Earlier this month, a panel of commissioners rejected the proposal. The project was deemed too large for the site.
