A 45-year old man was seriously injured when he was run over by a tractor at an industrial yard in Hamilton early on Monday.
Police say it appears he lost control of the tractor while starting it and was then run over by it.
He is in Waikato Hospital with chest injuries.
The police's serious crash and commercial investigation units are investigating the accident, as are OSH inspectors.
