Commuter trains in Wellington are running on schedule again after a points failure caused delays on Wednesday morning.
KiwiRail says the failure north of Wellington station meant trains on the Hutt Valley and Paraparaumu lines became backed up, causing the delays.
Some services were cancelled and others delayed by about 20 - 30 minutes.
Some commuters have reported delays of up to an hour.
KiwiRail says it apologises for the delays.
