Series of hui to be held on health services

6:36 am on 18 June 2010

Waitemata District Health Board is asking Maori what front-line services they want.

Waatea News reports six PHOs currently cover Maori in west Auckland and the North Shore.

The board plans to reduce that number to one or two.

Maori primary health care services manager Edith McNeil says a series of hui will be held next month on the best way to proceed.

She told Waatea News the DHB would like to ensure some consistent service delivery to whanau across the district.
