The armed offenders squad was called out in east Auckland on Tuesday causing the closure of part of a major road.
Police say they were executing a warrant at a house in Pakuranga.
A number of roads in the area are closed, causing some disruption.
A large section of Pakuranga Road was closed for a time, causing significant problems for motorists in the area.
