Police have released the name of an Auckland woman whose body was discovered after a house fire in the North Shore suburb of Glenfield, sparking a homicide investigation.
The body of Jacqueline Blackbourn, 43, was found when emergency services were called to a house in View Rd, Glenfield, at about 7.30pm on Saturday.
A man who was located nearby with serious burns is in Middlemore Hospital in an induced coma.
Police say no one else is being sought in relation to the incident.
They say a post-mortem has revealed the woman suffered a violent death.
