A search has resumed in Whakatane for a kayaker who is believed to have been missing for more than a week.
Family and friends of the Ohope man reported him missing on Monday afternoon after not seeing him since he went out in his kayak in Ohiwa harbour last Monday.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen an orange-coloured kayak to let them know.
Coastguard, volunteers and a helicopter are searching along the Ohope shoreline and out to sea for him.
