Police in Auckland say no criminal charges will be laid over a fatal accident in January in which a wheel came off a truck and hit a bus travelling in the opposite direction.
Xuan Lam, a Vietnamese tourist in the bus, suffered injuries from which he later died. Three other people received moderate injuries.
The police serious crash unit says it has fully investigated the incident, which involved the bus and a Toll Translink truck on the busy southern motorway.
Crown legal advice was sought, the unit says, and there is no criminal case to answer. The matter will be referred to the coroner.
