Seven of the 12 teenagers injured in a road crash near Rotorua at the weekend were still in hospital on Tuesday night.
They were returning from a party in Taupo during the early hours of Saturday morning when the van in which they were travelling flipped onto its side and crashed into a bank on State Highway 5.
Two young men remain in a critical condition in Waikato Hospital's intensive care unit, while two girls are in a stable condition, although one is still in the high-dependency unit.
Another two youths and a young woman are in Rotorua Hospital, although one of the boys will be discharged on Wednesday.
The other five passengers have been discharged.
